Property Description
Munay Sonqo is a retreat center nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru, that inspires guests to expand, heal, and transform. Our sanctuary is more than just a destination – it’s a sacred space where individuals can embark on a profound journey of self-discovery and personal growth. We collaborate with yoga and mindfulness teachers, and facilitators of the healing arts to run retreats. Our on-site team provides comprehensive support, including retreat planning, logistics, coordination, transport, tours, extra activities, nourishment, and guest management. By taking care of the details and logistics, we enable retreat leaders to be fully present with their group, fostering an environment conducive to deep healing and transformation. Our center is a loving, natural space featuring state-of-the-art facilities, embraced by the majestic Andes mountains and their guardians, the Apus. The energy of the land and the wisdom of the ancient Incan culture permeate every aspect of Munay Sonqo, creating a powerful and transformative atmosphere. The property is divided into three sections. The Munay Sonqo Mesa is located at the top eastern corner of the property, with open views of the surrounding mountains and sacred rock formations of Apu Pitusiray. The gardens and water features in this section provide a peaceful space to reflect, practice stillness and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature. The Munay Sonqo Mesa is home to our largest yoga temple. And the accommodations consist of four bungalows, each with 2-4 luxury rooms with their own separate entrances. The Santuario is a private campus separate from the main center, just a short one-minute stroll away. This gives it the advantage of being completely secluded and exclusive. The campus has four houses, a stunning Maloka (with comfortable space for 30 people), massage rooms, sauna, temazcal (sweat lodge), cold plunge pool, and firepit. The two homes on the property provide a large private dining area for the group (with chef and kitchen team), as well as living spaces each with fireplaces, one kitchen for your own use, and of course the gardens and swimming pool to enjoy! The Sach’a Munay Jardin is built around eucalyptus trees and flower gardens. This section also includes our a mud built Sweat Lodge and Floral Bath areas, and is just a few steps away from the Yoga Shala.
